Asia Elects is a market leader in the analysis of polls and election data in Asia. The international team contextualizes the data for free for tens of thousands of followers on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Moreover, Asia Elects acts as a democracy watchdog in authoritarian countries. Asia Elects’ work breaks the national narrative and reports from a transnational perspective for a pan-Asian audience.

Makoto has been involved with Asia Elects since May 2021 and has been team leader since November 2023. He holds a degree in Japanese from SOAS, University of London (including a dissertation on electoral matters). He has lived in both Kyoto and Tokyo and is currently plotting his return to Japan.
Tinnakorn has been part of Asia Elects since January 2020 and deputy team leader since November 2023. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Government in the Faculty of Political Science, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. He covers polls, elections, and political development in Thailand.
Tobias founded Asia Elects in 2018, after creating Europe Elects in 2014. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Media and Communication Science with a Political Science minor at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, Germany, and Haifa University, Israel. In 2019, he obtained his Master of Arts in International Development Studies in Halifax, Canada. He is currently working towards his Ph.D. at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada.
Jakub has been part of the Asia Elects Team since January 2019. He is the Deputy Editor of Asia Elects, as well as the Liaison with Europe Elects. He holds a Bachelorโs degree in Economics obtained at the University of Essex. Currently, Jakub studies Political Economy of Europe in his Masterโs at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
Anton Oleksiy joined Asia Elects in 2024. He studies political science at Milton Friedman University in Budapest. He is interested in and writes about politics in Eastern Europe. He covers polls and elections in Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
Elia E. Pizzato joined Asia Elects in 2023. He graduated in Chinese language, culture, and society at Ca' Foscari University of Venice and is now studying for an MA in Language and management in China. He has already cooperated with independent Italian political research centres to focus on Chinese industrial history and economic development. He covers polls and elections in mainland China and Taiwan as well as manages the Asia Elects telegram channel.
Jenchi Lyu joined Asia Elects in 2023. He is currently pursuing an arts degree at the University of Queensland, Australia, with a major in political science. He serves as the Hong Kong and Macau correspondent for Asia Elects.
Liam Meade joined Asia Elects in 2024. He holds a Bachelor's in Political Science and a Master's degree in Public Administration, both from Dalhousie University. He currently covers elections in Israel.
Mo Ahmed joined Asia Elects in 2023, having previously been active from 2018-2020. He studied at Manchester University where he obtained a degree in journalism, and currently works for His Majesty's Civil Service as a Housing Policy official. He covers polls and elections in North Korea and Singapore.
Shalin has been with the Asia Elects team since June 2021. He covers political developments, polls, and elections in Nepal.
Reuben Malekar joined Asia Elects in 2024. He studied at Radboud University and works as an independent journalist and researcher with past stints in Europe and India. He covers polls and elections in Bangladesh and the Maldives, and occasionally assists on India and France.
Sturmovik joined Asia Elects around August 2022.
They are study at Pukyong National University and cover polls and election results in South Korea.
Vianney P. Tumbagahan joined Asia Elects in 2023. He is currently studying at Visayas State University. He covers polls and elections in the Philippines.
